was sitting in the canteen today watching the television in my lunch break when I saw something that really pulled on my heart strings. It made me realise that it can happen to anyone out there. It is so easy to lose someone you love, especially a family member. This is the case for most of these kids living in the streets of Bangladesh. Every night they sleep on the cold cement in train stations. Harassed every night by police officers and nobody taking them in. Most of the time they have nothing to eat... this is where it got to me. I am fortunate to have a job and people around me that cares. I would consider myself educated enough to use the internet to my advantage, that is how I came up with this idea.
I live in a country that throws away more things than any other country in Europe. Born and raised in a third world country I have learned to value things I never could afford. Every day I see tons of things thrown away by people living in the United Kingdom and it just makes much more sense to ship some of that stuff out to the people that need it. For instance clothes your kids do not use anymore, basic education needs or anything that would brighten a kid living on the street's life. They have basically nothing...so anything would do. I can not afford to send much myself at the moment but I am hoping that if i have enough goods to send I would be able to find someone / a company that can sponsor the shipment of goods to Bangladesh!
